Mariona, who had already learned all about solar eclipses in her first book titled Mariona and the Sad Sun (Edicions Cadí, 1998), now leads her second adventure in which she shows us what to do in order to look after plants and animals, and how the different seasons follow each other with their corresponding changes in nature. The story is easily understood thanks to its clear and simple text and its beautifully attractive illustrations. It is a charming story where the innocent goodness of childhood pins forces with the value of friendship. This book abounds with subtlety, which offers smaller children the opportunity to discover the natural cycle of the year in a spontaneous way that is not too academic.
